United in Sustainability

Dell’s commitment to sustainability in turn reduces the environmental impact of anyone who uses the innovative products. We were tasked with informing people of some of our key sustainability practices so they would know that using Dell products and solutions helps them meet their own personal sustainability goals.

We wanted this work to be seamless at every level and symbolize a circular economy, so we created a cohesive story of Dell’s innovative sustainability practices that connect people, environments, and industries. Each frame flows into the next, demonstrating that we’re all united in some way. It’s a representation of our efforts to see nature and humanity in harmony.

From coastal hazard to useful device.

Dell keeps waste out of oceans by intercepting materials bound for waterways and using them in products and packaging. The durable components are recyclable, supporting the circular economy and reducing the need to source virgin materials.

From paper waste to bio-based.

The papermaking process creates a byproduct called Tall Oil. Dell upcycles this renewable material into a tree-based bioplastic and uses it in products.

From landfill to laptop.

Dell collects carbon fiber leftovers from the aerospace industry and upcycles that waste to be used in products. Not only does this practice reduce the carbon footprint of the product, using carbon fiber in the components makes them more durable and lightweight.
